The Pie Place takes pride in being a true “scratch” bakery. The bakers bring years of baking experience to create their tasty treats. All items are baked fresh daily and specialty items are available upon request.
We are conveniently located 7.5 miles south of Pittsburgh at the corner of Rt. 19 and North Highland Road in Norman Center II, just north of South Hills Village Mall and next to Pier One.
Julie Cobb Accamando has lived in the Pittsburgh area for over ten years. She moved to the area from Fork Union, Virginia. Julie began her love of baking when she was just 14 years old by working at a local restaurant. After completing a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Virginia Tech she continued to work in and out of the restaurant business. Her dream was always to become a baker and pastry chef. She now carries that enthusiasm to the patrons of The Pie Place with high quality desserts.
Jessica Culicerto Gombar is originally from Beckley, WV. She moved to Pittsburgh after completing a degree in Business Administration/Marketing from West Virginia University. While this is her first endeavor in the food industry, she brings several years of marketing and business experience to The Pie Place. Jessica is an avid baker and cake decorator and enjoys experimenting with new recipes!
